Born in 1965 in France, Guillaume Zuili is now an american citizen and lives in the USA, in Los Angeles. From 1986 to 1995 he worked in India and had his first book published about the City of Pondichery and the French settlements. A large part of his work then focused on the complexity
of Europeans cities through history (1996 till today). By using double exposure techniques he documented Berlin, Moscow, Paris, Prague and Lisbon. Today he continues using these techniques and works on his obsession of the American myth. With L.A. Cromos, in which he produces series on the symbols of the American myth (each hand-print undergoes a Chromoskadesic process, which makes it a unique piece) : the Ford 58, Elvis, the Coca-Cola sign. He then refines his photographic imprint - pushing towards the limit of grain abstraction - in his series Smoke and Mirrors and more recently San Pedro.
